Kenji’s EuroTrip: Entry 1

I never thought in a million years at the age of 25 I would be in Europe backpacking and staying in hostels. My first day (November 1st) at Travel Joy Hostel (London) was a smack in the face to the real hostel life: 12 beds, 12 heads, downstairs bar, and people trying to figure it all out, just like myself. To think only a couple of years back I never owned a passport. (Thanks Lupe, Pharrell, Q-Tip, and Sarah Green for the push). Furthermore, a few months ago I was employed at a full time job helping to get people to spend money (mostly credit) on things and experiences that may (or may not) make their lives better. In addition, I thought New York was the only place I could ever live and that success equated to grinding till I collapsed and getting back up to do it the next day. Starting Passport Project this year and meeting inspiring people that are more excited about their travel experiences than anything else in their lives made me realize I might be missing something. I took a leap, and now I am on a 3 week hiatus putting the pieces of my life’s puzzle together.

#passportlife or die trying.
